LG GW990 Atom-Powered
LG GW990 is first phone to be launched by Intel and LG based platform that is Moorestown chip platform with Atom processor built for mobile Internet devices and smartphones. LG GW990 has 4.8-inch screen that can play high-definition video 720 pixels. Display supports multitouch input and a camera on the front and rear. The phone is running Moblin 2.1 operating system which is a variant of Linux and support HSPA network, a digital compass as well as 3D gaming.
LG GW990 also capable of running many applications at once in which the demo, this phone to play high-definition video and calendar applications at the same time. Applications such as multipoint video conferencing is also possible by this application. LG GW990 using special Atom processor with the paired Lincroft code with the code Langwell chipset. Intel describes this as the Lincroft system-on-chip (SOC) with 3D graphics accelerator, integrated memory controller and other components in a single chip.
